A Creep Damage Failure Analysis and Prediction of Beams under Cyclic Bending Moment

Abstract: In this paper, a simple evolution equations of cyclic bending creep damaged beams are derived, in which the definition of the bending damage variable is defined by reduction of moment of inertia similar to that of tensile damage variable d efined by reduction of loading area (Kachanov's model). For the simplicity of failure prediction in engineering, the evolution law of bending damage variable is adapted as a simple form.
