
A Numerical Method Combining Differential Geometry with Backward Differentiation Formula for Dynamics of Flexible Multibody Systems

Abstract: On the basis of differential geometic theory that is used
to solve differential algebraic equations, a new numericl method for dynamics of flexible
multibody systems is presented, which combines differential geometric approach with
backward differentiation formula. Also the validity and effectiveness are illustrated with
typical examples.
