Abstract: A scheme for nonlinear active vibration control of flexible beam structure taking part in planar motion, where the segmented piezoelectric material, acting as actuators, constitutes a direct feedback closed loop control system. Based on the multi-rigid spring system model, a computational method for obtaining the feed back gain matrix is derived by the linear quadratic optimal theory. Two examples are given to illustrate the feasibility of the present method.
Keywords: flexible beam, active vibration control, finite segment method.
