
Numerical Calculation of
Aerodynamic Drag of Train in Tu nnel

Abstract: The aerodynamic drag of train in
tunnel is calculated on the basis of the mathem atical model of turbulence. The
axi-symmetric k-¦Å model and PISO method are e mployed. The
roughnes of wall is taken into condsideration on the basis of the N icurades formula and
profile of velocity on a rough wall. The irregular boundary is treated by correcting the
velocity near the wall. The calculation is achived under the different conditions. The
relations between the aerodynamic drag and the different factors are analysed and compared
with that obtained by the classical method.
