Laser Generation and Detection of Stress Waves

Abstract: Laser generation and detection of stress waves were recognized to have potential for a wide range of NDT & E and applied mechanics, and have therefore received considerable interest from scientists and engineers in various fields of study. The main purpose of this review is to give a briefly summary of principle, methodo logy, technique and possible application, emphasizing its mechanical, experimental and applicable features.
