A New Direction in Nonlinear Oscillations and Vibration Control: Controlling Chaos

£Ábstract: Controlling chaos is surveyed as a new direction in nonlinear oscillations and vibration control in this paper. The content and meanings of controlling chaos are introduced at first. The principle and developments of main approaches, such as the entrainment control, stabilization control and applications of nonlinear system theory, are analyzed. The research trend of controlling chaos is forecasted.
