2-D Elastic Stochastic Boundary Element Methods and the Analysis of Reliability in Contact Problem

Abstract: In this paper, the integral equations of stochastic boundary element methods (SBEM) for 2-D elastic contact problems and the corresponding formula are derived with the help of the partial derivative techniques to fundamental stochastic variables. By considered the material parameters and loads as stochastic variables , the techniques of reliability analysis are also introduced in this paper. The exam ples which are two contact cylinders and the fir-tree tenon/mortise problem show that the analysis method developed in this paper can be used to solve the 2-D elastic contact problems.
