Contribution of the Coupling Dynamic Coefficients of Thrust Bearing to the Lateral Vibration of Rotor

Abstract: The coupling oil film forces and moments of thrust bearing due to the lateral vi bration of rotor can
be described with a group of linear stiffness and damping coefficients. Contribution of the coupling dynamic
coeffieients of thrust bearing to the lateral vibration state of rotor are systematically investingated in th is
paper. The calculating results shown that, effects of thrust bearing on the lateral vibration state of rotor is
depended mainly on the coupling dynamic coffi eients due to the tilt of thrust disc, the contribution of the
couling dynamic coefficients due to the displacement of disc to the lateral vibration state of rotor can be
neglected.
