Fundamental Solutions for Axisymmetric Problems of
Transversely Isotropic Materials

Abstract: Based on the three-dimensional fundamental solutions for transversely isotropic material, the fundamental solutions for axisymmetric problems are derived by integration for the cases that the characteristic roots, si are equal or not. The fundamental solution presented in this paper is convenient when numerical results are required and the expressions are simple. The fundamental solutions for axisymmetric problems of isotropic material are obtained through degeneration of the fundamental solutios for transversely isotropic material.
