Abstract: Dynamic analysis of the blades linked with the arch shroud is
carried out by the component modal synthesis, and the natural vibration of the blades
shroud combination is tested using the pulse excitation and other
methods. The features of the proposed analysis is that the effect of the higher truncated
modes is taken into the consideration, and the arch shroud and components of blades are
coupled on at the interface displacement coordinates. The work of the paper offers an
effective approach to analyze vibrations of arch shroud linked long blades of steam
turbines.
