Abstract: Based on the basic elastic equations and series expansion, the paper presents the general solution of antiplane interface end. The research shows that the stress singularity is different with that in plane problems. On the symmetric interface end, the singularity index increases from 0 to 0.5 with the interface end angular from 90 to 180 centigrade. On the asymmetric interface end, the singularity index apparently depends on the combination of two materials. The stress intensity factors corresponding to all of interface ends are defined.
Keywords: antiplane problem, interface end, singularity index, stress intensity factor.
