Abstract: The dynamic characteristics and the temperature
effects on a kind of cylindrical
shear viscoelastic damping members are experimentally studied in this paper. Then, the
experimental analysis of dynamics of the space truss damped with the developed
viscoelastic members is carried out with environment temperature varied. The obtained
experiment results indicate that, it is very efficient to suppress the vibration response
of the structures with original members substituted by damping members, and the dynamic
characteristics of the space truss is highly influenced by environment temperature due to
the integrated viscoelastic damping members which are sensitive to temperature.
