
Finite Element Strength Calculation System of a Centrifugal

Abstract: In this paper a three dimensional finite element analysis
system was developed to
compute stress of a centrifugal impeller, aided by a pre-process system, including
automatic mesh generation and boundary constraints applying, and so on. Elastic force
caused by clamp boundary between the impeller and axis was calculated and applied on
elements there as a boundary condition. Stress of an actual three dimensional flow
disigned impeller was calculated using the above system and effects of several conditions
were analyzed.
