A New Kind of Contact Searching Algorithm of Higher Order Finite¡¡Element Based on Constrained  Nonlinear Optimization Techniques

Abstract: Several conventional contact searching algorithms, with the advantage of excellent computational efficiency, are usually refer to lower order finite element. But which are not suitable for the contact problems in which higher order finite element is adopted. It has an urgent need in engineering that developes a kind ofcontact searching algorithm which can deal with the contact problems of higher order FE and its computational efficiency has equal level to conventional contact searching algorithms. On the basis of the Systematic Search Method and nonlinear constrained optimization theory, this paper developes a new kind of contact searching algorithm of higher order finite element. A variety of examples show that the contact searching algorithm has better computatinal efficiency and higher precision.
