
Study on the Frequency Spectral Character of a Buried Rod of
Circular Cross Section

Abstract: This paper investigated the axially symmetric
compressional wave in a buried infinite elastic rod of circular cross section. The
generalized Pochhammer frequency equation was presented, and the corresponding frequency
spectral curves in some range of frequency were given. Numerical results show that
material parametershave important influences on the spectra character.
