Abstract: This paper analyzes the mode I crack problems of finite
structures based on the
local-global analytical method. The asymptotic expression, a kind of high power
singular element is constructed. It takes place of the crack thick mesh of usual finite
element. The size effect of finite structure has been analyzed. The structure thickness
and length effect on stress intensity factor have been analyzedin detail.
