Dynamic Characteristics and Active ControlExperiment of Honeycomb Plates

Abstract: The finite element model of honeycomb plates is established with ANSYS software, where the honeycomb core plate is regarded as a equivalently homogeni c with the same size. Comparatively, the modal analysis results are coincident between the finite element model and the experimental model. In the vibration active control experiment, the gluing location of piezoelectric actuator is defined with the results of random power spectrum density(PSD) analysis and the modal shapes of the finite element modal analysis to demonstrate the vibration restraining effectiveness. The conclution proposes suggestions for honeycomb plates' design and smart structure control.
