Exact Solution for Mode-¢ó Stress Singularity Factor of Double Periodic Unequal Rigid Lines

Abstract: Composite materials with periodically distributed unequal rigid lines under antiplane shearing are investigated analytically. The stress field and the stress singularity factor are derived, and the influence of rigid line size and distribution on stress singularity factor are calculated and discussed. A series of existing and novel solutions for various arrays of periodic rigid lines can be obtained as the special cases of the proposed approach.
