
Impacts of Poisson Ratio on Ultimate
Bearing Capacity of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Arch Bridge

Abstract: Considering the geometrical
physical nonlinearities simultaneously, the impacts of poisson ratio of core concrete on
the ultimate bearing capacity of a large-spaned concrete
filled steel tubular arch bridge are analyzed. A 3D-si
mulation for a pedestrian overcrocs, bridge shows the evolutiion with the variable
concrete poisson ratio up to the structural failure. Comparatively, the bearing capacity
analysis considering the variable concrete poisson ratio enables to enhance the design
capacity by 10%.
