Abstract: Adopting series method of differential equations, the analytical solutions for temperature and thermal/mechanical stresses of a functionally graded hollow cylinder with finite lenghth are derived, which is simply supported at its two ends, the constitutive material properties are assumed temperature-independ ent and exponentially variable along thickness direction. As an example, the whole field results of a hollow cylinder made of molybdenum and mullite are graphically presented.
Keywords: Functionally graded circular hollow cylinder with finite length, therm al/mechanical loads, analytical solution.
