Analysis to fan Blade Containment

Abstract: Finite element method is used to calculate the nonlinear transientre sponse as the fan ring is impacted by a disabled blade, and the process of impacting and containing is simulated, the varied deformations and energy of the ring and blade during the process are analyzed. The result shows that the finite element model well reflects the impacting process when the fan ring contains the separating blade.
