Abstract: 3-D FEM model of the oilcan and truck
was established in MSC/NAS TRAN to determine the rule of the response during road
transportation. The dynamic system behaviors were analyzed, and the natural frequencies
and the modal shapes were obtained. Random response analysis method and transient response
analysis method were employed to evaluate the oilcan dynamic response on different level
roads and at different speeds, then the location of the maximum response, the resonant
frequence range and the corresponding modes were determined, and RMS of the acceleration
response in both methods was found to be consistent. The results show that the truck
efficiently facilitates decreasing the road excitati on to the oilcan, and the maximum of
the acceleration response in oilcan is 2.5 กซ3 times as much
as the RMS.
