Abstract: The hybrid multilayer composite
structures consist of layers with different thermal conductivity and constitutive
constants. To analyze the internal heat transfer mechanism and the thermo-elastic
characteristics of the hybrid structure, three-dimensional models are required to get the
more accurate results. Utilized the equivalent element based on three-dimensional heat
transfer theory and Galikin finite element methods for heat conduction, the results with
higher accuracy and less computation are achieved. The difficulty due to thiner single
layer is solved by introducing the concept of equivalent element possibly including one or
few layers, thus the sufficient topology information can be used to analyze the coupled
situations under multi-physical conditions.
