Structure Biomimetic Design and Numerical Anti-penetration Capability Simulation

Abstract: Focused on wood and nacre, the
strengthening and toughening microcosmic mechanisms of natural composite is reviewed, And
a new-type bursting layer structure, honeycomb sandwich steel tube filled with concrete is
presented based on the bionics theory, whose anti-penetration mechanism is discussed
taking a single short steel filled with concrete component as object. Employing the
software, LS-DYNA, this process is simulated and the results indicates that the proposed
biomimetic laminar defense structure obviously outperforms than the normal one of common
concrete in anti-penetration.
