Abstract: Imitated the elastic-plastic behavior of Reinforced Concrete with segmented varied rigidity beam element, the earthquake response of double-tower single face Reinforced Concrete cabled-stayed bridge is analyzed, where the material and geometric nonliearity are taken into account. The comparative results with Huges element indicate that the nonlinear behviors of Reinforced Concrete cable-stayed bridge under violent earthquake are accurately described via the proposed element.
Keywords: reinforced concrete, cable-stayed bridges, nonlinear analysis, varied rigid beam element.
