Topological Structure Analysis For Nonlinear Nonautonomous System

Abstract: Based on energy principle, an energy
method of qualitative analysis (EMQA) for topological structure of nonlinearly
nonautonomous system is developed, where the energy parameters are regarded as state ones
of system. The system mo tion varies with energy parameters, the state thus depends on.
The analysis indi cates that energy parameters uniquely govern the system condition and
reveal plenty information of the dynamical behaviors. The energy phase diagram, energy
time history, energy Poincaré mapping and energy bifurcation diagram in forced non
linar Duffing oscillator are investigated with EMQA to show the advatages over the
existing approaches under a certain condition.
