Mixed Interface Direct Component Modal Synthesis Method

Abstract: A new method called Mixed Interface Direct Component Modal Synthesis Method is proposed. The method is developed on the basis of DCMS (Direct Component Modal Synthesis Method) which is essentially a free interface modal synthesis method. According to the proposed method, the whole structure is divided into several parts. The complex part named main substructure is considered as free-interface, and the other branch substructures as fixed-interface. The comput ation of each substructure is entirely independent. Residual modes of both main and branch substructures are taken into account to improve the accuracy. The num erical examples confirm the validity, especially for an outer case-pipeline system of aero engine.
