New Varying Section method for The Nonlinear Beam-Column Analysis

Abstract: A new varying section method for nonlinear analysis of beam-column is presented, where the power function is chosen to simulate the stiffness to esta blish the simplified mathematic model of the plastic evolution of beam-column, the validity is proved. The trend of the mid-side section according to the accentric longitudinal is researched simultaneously. The method can be regarded as a new thought of the elastic-plastic beam-column.
