Analysis of Ultra-fine Aerosol Deposition on Horizontal Surfaces

Abstract: Ultra fine aerosol particle deposition on a horizontal flat surface in industrial clean rooms is studied under special consideration of thermophoretic, diffusional and gravitational field. The airflow is two dimensional, parallel to the falt plate. The relations between local deposition velocity and particle diameter and the distance from the forward edge of the flat are analyzed and discussed, and the average deposition velocity distribution over the surface is also illustrated.
