Abstract: This paper provides a new damage parameter for evaluating the
crack-
initiation life of engine's turbo-disk, which combines the critical plane theory, shear stress work, the
micro-mechanism of fatigue damage. Based on this parameter, the relationship between the damage parameter and fatigue cycles is derived, and a fatigue damage accumulation model is developed to evaluate the fatigue
life using finite element method and numerical simulation.
