Abstract: Semi-active control systems are becoming increasingly attractive for
structural control applications due to their large adjustable capacity, low power demand and inherent stability. Based on the OTE algorithm, in this paper the semi-active tuned liquid damper (SATLCD) is employed for
wind-induced vibration
control. The main objective of this paper is to discuss the feasibility of using the SATLCD to exert structural control by applying OTE algorithm. The numerical result shows the effectiveness of the SATLCD and it's superior to the uncontrolled system and the TLCD, meanwhile, the rationality of the OTE algorithm is also verified.
