A New Rotor-Stator Rubbing Modal using Hertzian Impact-Contact Theory

Abstract: In a detailed study on the processing of rotor-stator rubbing, a new rotor-stator rubbing modal is presented based on Hertzian impact-contact theory. Different rotor-stator rubbing modals have been examined from various angles and it is proved that the new rotor-stator rubbing modal not only gives a better understanding and explanation of the processing of rotor-stator rubbing, but also is very practical in its utilization.
