Abstract: An elastic rotor-bearing system with coupling faults of crack and rub-impact is studied on the basis of nonlinear dynamics and rotor dynamics theory in this paper. A dynamic model of the rotor-bearing system is established considering the oil-force and coupling faults of crack and rub-impact. In view of the strong nonlinear characteristics of the oil film force in the short bearing and the rotor-bearing system with coupling faults, nonlinear dynamics behaviors induced by coupling faults of the crack and rub-impact, is numerically studied with Runge-Kutta method. Abundant nonlinear phenomena such as periodic motion, quasi-periodic motion and chaos are found, the results may bring up theoretical references for fault diagnoses, dynamic design, and security running to rotor-bearing system.
