A Rational Hexahedron 8-Node Finite Element

Abstract: This paper deduces the stiffness matrix expression of a 8-node brick Rational Finite Element (RFE). The interpolation functions of the RFE is polynomials of degree 3, which is the solution of Elastic theory basic equation, the superiority and high efficiency of the 8-node brick RFE have been checked with several examples.
