
Immediate Numerical Solution of a Large Deflection Rubber Circular Plate and Correct for its Hencky's Solution

Abstract: The rubber circular plate is considered as a kind of film. Based on the character that there exists no
bending-moment inside a film, the geometric behavior of the rubber circular plate in expanding state is described with the aid
of a group of mathematic methods. Then, the relationship between deflection and
load is obtained by means of stress and strain inside the curved-surface of the rubber plate. Meantime, based on the Hencky's method, the relationship between
deflection and load is gotten as Hencky's solution. The different results from
the two different solution methods are compared. Moreover, the deviation resulted from the Hencky's method is discussed, and a kind of correcting method is put
forward.
