
Four-Linear Model of Hydraulic Damper Used in Car

Abstract: This paper presents a new mathematical model of hydraulic dampers for
cars. Through Measuring the dampers, we get a curve about velocity and damping force by MTS. A new model known as
four-linear damper model is established according to this curve. Simulation of a 1/2 car model is performed, using
four-linear damper model and equivalent linear damper model in the 1/2 car model. The results of simulation indicates that the dynamic characteristics of
four-linear model is in close agreement with the experimental. The four-linear model is asymmetric about velocity. It is helpful for designing the damper used in car.
