Critical Flow Velocity of Pipes Coneying Fluid with Elastic Supports

Abstract: A new method is proposed to calculate the critical flow velocity of pipes conveying fluid. The problem of buckling is transformed into the matrix eigen-problem using a method combining singularity functions with Fourier series. This method can be used for pipes with variant elastic supports on ends and/or in a middle position.
