Abstract: The non-darcy gas flow in porous media has wide applications in the industrial fields. So analyzing the non-darcy gas flow in porous media becomes very important. But few considerations are given to the compressible effects of gas in most researches on the subject. Yet not only non-darcy effects, but also compressible effects must be considered in the research on gas flow in porous media when gas flows in porous materials with high velocity and high pressure. In this paper, an ID analysis of non-darcy steady gas flow in porous media is given. A method used to calculate permeability and inertia coefficient of porous media when gas flows in porous materials with high speed and high difference of the pressure is presented. An analytical relation between ждp/L   (the ratio of the difference between the pressure at the fore and the back of the porous material to the length of the material) and u1 (the velocity in front of the material) is also given.
Keywords: compressible gas flow, non-darcy flow, porous media.
