Abstract: Based on the established rock damage model and theory of
time-variati
on mechanics, the stress and strain calculation is processed according to the different path of excavation in this paper. In order to predict the damage state of later step and find the better path of excavation, computer simulation of dam
age evolution is given also. Theoretical and numerical analysis show that the last stress strain and damage field are different in different construction path when the damage evolution is considered.
