
An Accelerated Iterative Procedure with Constant Stiffness
for the Analysis of Elastic Contact Problems

Abstract: A gap-load was used in the analysis of elastic contact
problems to indicate the change of contact state. In the study, the re-forming of stiffness matrix was avoided and an iterative procedure with constant stiffness was presented
. Furthermore, using Steffensen technology for fix-point iteration, an acceleration algorithm was carried out. In the end of this paper, some numerical examples
illustrated the effectiveness of the presented method.
